Boucherie Lawrence
Boucherie Lawrence got in touch with me because they want to get beyond the Mile End neighbourhood to serve a wider audience they accessed during the pandemic. And as Montreal's only ethical butcher with staff that are all also cooks + connected to 2 of the city's best restaurants, Lawrence & larrys, they are primed for connecting with people across the city.
Proxies
Proxies, once tied to Acid Leauge, are now separate online & available in curated shops & restaurants across North American cities, boasting a large wholesale program. They're classic DTC with a Wine Club you can only access through them, including early access to collaborations. You can also connect with Proxies in person at tastings across cities, exposing us to some of the most interesting restaurants, shops, sommeliers & taste makers around.
PS Coffee
PS Coffee is a Montreal-based roaster offering alternative ways to learn, think about & connect with your daily cup. They don't have a physical location, but, developed by the folks behind Elena, Nora Gray & Gia, they're in restaurants, shops & homes not just around Montreal but around North America c/o wholesale and their site.
Grape Witches
GW are Toronto's natty wine darlings & favourite educations with an impactful imports arm that brings the wines of some of the world's top producers to shops & restaurants across Ontario. Their site now brings together their wine shop, education offers, events, Wine Club, and imports in one place & communicated clearly, ++ a special Let Us Choose option & Wine Club onboarding system that saves their staff tons of time. They've been growing at ton every year.
Burdock
Burdock opened their second location in Toronto's Kensington Market this spring & are experimenting with UberEats to get people into their beers & onto their site to shop direct with them. They expand your idea of ‘Real Nice’ beer – practically pioneering wine beers, inventing pickle flavoured sparkling water, and collaborating constantly with other local businesses on fun beverages. They are playful in exploring what is delicious & sharing it with people across Ontario directly, through the LCBO, UberEats, other shops, and restaurants.
